Hi cookie01, Thank you for your input on the Cho Cho search. Maybe someone will contact Marc Summers at the Food Network and see if he can help. Take care.
Sincerely, Diana Diana's Desserts

I can't believe I found people discussing Cho Cho Bars. In Oregon, they willed billed as "malted milk on a stick" They were not round but more of the traditional ice cream slice shape, complete with paper wrappers. I have been suffering from Cho Cho withdrawal for many years now.

Hi Diana, Imagine my surprise after googling "cho cho ice cream" after a conversation with a co-worker to find a lengthy on-line discussion about them. I remember them from my youth in the 50's. My sister and I walked to a little neighborhood store to get them as often as we could! This was in a small town in western Pennsylvania. The flavor was incredible, but I was beginning to believe I had dreamed them up! Noone else I talk to seems to know about them or remember them. I'm also in favor of someone releasing them again as long as they have the original taste!

I really remember the Cho-Cho's, my favorite treat way back when. I wonder why some major ice cream company hasn't tried to come up with something to compare to the Cho-Cho. I am sure it would be a hit. I agree about contacting Marc Summers @ Foodnetwork.

I sent this info before but I want to say again. I did send to Tuckers Ice Cream. I paid $160 and had 20 of their cho cho bars sent to me in dry ice. That is how bad I would love to locate an old Cho Cho. IT IS NOT ANYTHING LIKE THE OLD CHO CHO. I also wrote to the US Patent Office and paid to get info but it was only the patent on the cup. I also wrote to the city where the cup was made, but received no reply. I think the best thing to do is what was suggested on your web site, write a letter to the food network and see if they have any news on Cho Cho's or if they have a recipe. And I agree that this was probably one of the best tasting ice creams and I don't know why some ice cream company hasn't caught on to it being missing, and try to reinvent it. Maybe the food network can do this. Has anyone read this entire web site and has anyone tried the recipes? And has anyone written to the Food Network. I'm not familiar with them.

Hi Everyone, I was baking homemade brownies this morning and needed info on baking in a glass pan versus metal, Googled for the information and Diana's site popped-up. Thank you Diana, reducing the temperature 25º worked perfectly. But on to the topic at hand - Cho-Cho Ice Cream Bars. This (scroll down past the clown) is what I remember them looking like, not so much a bar but a paper cup with a stick in the middle. I am originally from Cincinnati and when the Cho-Cho novelty disappeared we substituted with the United Dairy Farmers Chocolate Malt to get the fix! Drink wine, and you will sleep well. Sleep, and you will not sin. Avoid sin, and you will be saved. Ergo, drink wine and be saved. Medieval German saying

Hi! I grew up in Albany in the 50's and 60's and I remember the ice cream man coming by with Cho Cho's. Ours were in paper cups that you rubbed between your hands to get the ice cream out. They were so good! We even nicknamed the ice cream man, Cho Cho.

Hi, I was looking up Cho Cho bars on the web and lo and behold there are people out there who remember them. I was a child in the 50's and it was my favoite ice cream. I've never found any ice cream that compares to that taste. If there's a recipe out there to duplicate it or better yet a company that makes anything close to it, please let me know. SharonS
