I would like to know if the flavored liqueur that a recipe calls for (e.g. kirsch, grand manier etc) can be substituted with flavored syrups? (e.g MONIN's) or shpuld i just stick to real fruit juices and extracts?

I would stick to using real fruit juices and extracts.
Syrups would produce a different texture, but you can try it and see how it works out for you. Please let me know.
