Hi, I'm new to this. I chanced across this website and am wondering if anyone out there is able to help. I have been looking unsuccessfully for a recipe called "Char Siew Sou". This is basically barbequed pork encased in puff pastry. I tried my own version using flaky pastry and it didn't turn out like what the shops were selling. Help, anyone!!

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site and also just started a home-based cookie business. Can anyone tell me where to find bulk milk-chocolate baking chips? I'm spending too much in the retails stores and wish to cut my costs a little. Please help...the internet isn't cooperating.

Hi Cookiemonster, Welcome to Diana's Desserts Discussion Forum. Is there a particular brand of milk chocolate chips that you prefer to use? If so, can you let me know.
Sincerely, Diana Diana's Desserts

Hello Diana! I've worked with Hershey's and Merckens as well as the sam's choice(walmart). Merckens is probably my favorite, not too sweet, but I know they can be pricey. I'm open to any other suggestions. Sincerely, Dena

Hi Dena, I just spoke to the company that makes the Merkens milk chocolate chips and they said that they make the milk chocolate chips for several of the chain grocery stores such as Safeway and Albertson's under the Safeway name and at Albertson's under the Incensia (not sure about the spelling) brand. Their home brand. Same chocolate as Merkens. Also, you could ask the manager where you purchase the Merkens milk chocolate chips or Hershey's milk chocolate chips if he or she could order you the chips by the case and give you a discount. Otherwise, you can purchase bulk milk chocolate chips at www.bulkfoods.com on the internet. If you need more information about where you can purchase Merkens Milk Chocolate Chips (wholesale), you can call the ADM Cocoa Company at 1-800-558-9958 and ask for Rosemary Kramer between the hours of 8 to 5PM Central Time. Please let me know what happens. Oh, King Arthur Flour sells Merckens Mini Milk Chocolate Chips at $3.95 a pound. Somewhat expensive, especially when you consider the shipping costs added on.
