2 1/4 cups flour 5 tablespoons corn starch 1 teaspoon baking powder 2/3 cup soft butter 1/2 can almond paste (not filling) 1 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup milk 4 eggs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and almond paste until fluffy. Add sugar, gradually add eggs, one at a time. Mix in flour mixture and milk alternately. Bake in greased 9x5 loaf pan for 1 hour. Double recipe for a Bundt pan and bake 75 min. Cool 10 min. and turn out from pan and cool completely. Serve with powdered sugar or orange glaze or chocolate glaze.
Does anyone a recipe for almond pound cake? I'm trying to come up with a recipe for making one because I don't want to spend nearly $30.00, which is how much Rowena's Almond Pound Cake costs. It isn't just the money.....I just think that I would enjoy making the cake besides saving money. I would use only the freshest & best ingredients.
