Is it possible to line the bottom of a springform pan with parchment paper or wax paper, before baking, to be able to slide the completed cheesecake off the bottom?  I have found it difficult to transport my cheesecakes and I want to make some cheesecakes for friends and family but I do not want to leave the springform bottom(what is the proper name for it?)behind.

Thank you for any help I can get.

Cheesecake finatic!

Yes, you can line the bottom of your springform pan with parchment or wax paper, but I have something really great that you can buy, either online (like Amazon.com) or at a cooking or housewares stores such as Bed, Bath and Beyond, etc. Here's a link to the Cake or Pizza Lifters on Amazon.com

Cake or Pizza Lifter

These work great and I highly recommend this product for just your situation. Let me know if you get one and how you liked it. I'm quite sure this will solve your "how to transfer a cheesecake" problem.

Sincerely, Diana
