I am looking for four cakes
One is called a Jack frost cake... It looks like an igloo with a base that is cut into squares and shaped like an igloo over fruit, then iced with whipping cream ...it's delicious and I made for my son's baptism.

Another one is a torte with lemon filling and a meringue topping...it's  a German cake and it's name in German means heavenly cloud.

The other cake is a show stopper...the lady makes it  to sell tickets for our tea...but will not give the recipe
it is a hazel nut cake with creamy dark brown filling...it has 8 layers and then she covers it in an icing....it is very moist and delicious tasting. There may be some chocolate in it but not much.

Another cake is a Hungary cake...again the lady would not give the recipe...it was heavier than a cake, baked in a smaller but higher bundt shaped pan than those we see now. ..cocoa, walnuts and poppy seed were some of the ingredients...more like loaf but not very sweet again delicious.
I do not understand why people do not give out recipes as to me they are part of one's memories...and one is remembered when you bake their specialty.

I don't know of the Chocolate Salad dish, but will look into it, and let you know.

Sincerely, Diana

Dear fellow foodies,
I am trying to find a recipie for the classic french dessert of Cour de la Creme, a simply simple but luscious heart of sweet creamy cheese, often served with a berry coulis. If anyone has this or a similar dessert recipie I would be most appriciative.

ALSO

I am looking for a recipie for chocolate salad. A combo of dark milk & white choc's with fruit, I think.

Thanks heaps for any and all input. Smile Text

Be happy, Healthy, prosperous & eternally in love,

Marena.
