I read that you can freeze cheesecakes but without toppings.  It was talking about fruit toppings.  My cheesecake has a chocolate topping, like frosting.  Can it still be frozen with that on it?

Hmmm, I know you asked this question over a month ago but I have just completed a week long boot camp on cheesecake.  I know un-topped cheesecake can be frozen for a month.  So, I would say that with a topping it would depend on the topping.

If your topping is cool whip I would go for the full month.  If it's strawberries I would go for the full month.  If however the topping is like pears or apples I wouldn't go longer than a couple of days or a week at worst.

Cheers.

I can usually be found in the kitchen, everything else can be found here: http://tablebread.blogspot.com
