The cake is very similar to your recipe for Red Velvet Cake, except without the Red food coloring.  I found your recipe just after I posted my question and noticed that your recipe has it in 2 9" pans for 30 minutes.  I think I'll try it that way.  Thanks for responding!  =)

Hi Heather,

This is Diana from this website.

To answer your question about whether you need to change the temperature and baking time of your 9x13 inch cake, no you don't need to change the temperature of 350 degrees.

You probably should bake the two 9-inch cakes for anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes. Of course, it may depend on what kind of cake it is. What type of cake is it? What are the ingredients?

Sometimes, depending on the cake, you can bake the two 9-inch cakes for the same amount of time that you would bake it if you were using a 9x13-inch pan, but usually it's a little shorter time when you're baking in 2 or 3 pans.

Please let me know about what kind of cake it is, and the ingredients, okay.

Ok...here's my question...I have a cake recipe that calls for a 9x13 pan to bake @ 350 for 35-40 min.  If I want to bake this in two 9" round layer pans, how long should I bake them for, and do I need to change the temperature?  Please help!!
