Hi

This is Diana from Diana's Desserts website. Thank you very much for the complements on my site, and for the Buttery Oatmeal Cookie recipe. I am so glad you enjoyed them.

As far as oven temperatures and modes go, my recipes on this website are written for regular gas or electric ovens. You of course can use them with any type of oven, but you will have to convert the times and temperatures for fan or turbo type oven modes.

If you have a manual that came with your oven, it should explain about the time and temperature conversions for the fan or turbo (convection) modes.
If you don't have a manual, then I would suggest that you call the company that makes the oven, and ask them about the conversions. They can probably send you a manual explaining all of this information.

Meanwhile, if anyone else has any ideas or suggestions, please feel free to respond to the questions here.

Happy Baking!! Smile
Diana

I am having some problems with selecting the right heating mode when baking. Electric ovens have a normal mode (heating from top and bottom) and a fan mode (normal + fan) also called the turbo mode. I know that when you are baking more than one thing on more than one tray you should use the fan mode but which one do I use if I am baking cakes? And do I have to reduce the temperature setting if I am using fan mode? Are the temperature settings given in recepies for normal or for fan mode? Can anyone help me?

I am a novice cook i guess but I enjoy making deserts a lot. This is a great website. I tried the buttery oatmeal cookies and they were delicious. Thank you Diana!
