Topic: Icing Bisuits

  Hi,
I have seen some butterfly shaped biscuits that are iced in pastel colours. The icing looks very sharp at the edges like it has been cut together with the biscuits. I think making the biscuits will not be too hard, but I'm not sure about the icing. Someone told me that you outline the edges of the biscuits first with icing, then you use runnier icing to flood it. Has anyone done this before and will it achieve the sharp edges of the biscuits ?
Thanks,
Jennie

I have done this with cookies using a Royal Icing where you outline with a thicker consitency then thin the icing a bit and flood the cookie to fill it in. Mind you this icing does harden sort of like candy but is shiny and you can stack or bag them without the design smearing.

A day without baking is like a day without sunshine
