Rocky Road Candy

Ingredients: ![]() 12 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips 2 tbsp. unsalted margarine or butter 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk 2 cups walnuts, peanuts, almonds or pecans, chopped into pieces 10 1/2 oz. package miniature marshmallows |
Instructions: In a heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate chips, margarine and sweetened condensed milk; remove from heat. In large bowl, combine nuts and marshmallows; stir in chocolate mixture. Spread in wax paper lined 13 x 9-inch pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Remove rocky road from pan; peel off paper and cut into squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature. Microwave Method: In a 1-quart glass measure, combine chips, margarine and sweetened condensed milk. Cook on 100% power (high) for 3 minutes, stirring after 1 1/2 minutes. Stir to melt chips. Let mixture stand for 5 minutes. Proceed as above. |

I have made Rocky Road for years from my Mothers recipe, But we call them Stained Glass...For Christmas you can use colored marshmallows, and make 4 individual logs by rolling them in wax paper, then after chilled, cut into slices, and it looks like stained glass.
