Comments: This is a jumble of ingredients that I put together one day to create this amazingly gooey slice full of texture. Enjoy! |
Ingredients: For the Base: 1 cup all-purpose flour (plain flour) 90g/3 oz. unsalted butter, cut into slices, at room temperature 3 tablespoons caster sugar (superfine baker's sugar) For the Filling: 400g/14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk 45g/ 1 1/2 oz. unsalted butter 45g/1 1/2 oz. brown sugar 1/2-3/4 cup roughly chopped dried apricots or peaches 150g/5 oz. dark cooking chocolate, chopped into chunks 50g/1 1/2-2 oz. white chocolate, chopped into chunks |

Put butter, sugar and flour into a food processor and process until it comes together easily. Remove from the processor and press into prepared baking tin. Prick with a fork and bake 15-18 minutes until lightly golden. cool in the tin. To Make the Filling: Put condensed milk, sugar and butter into a small saucepan and stir until sugar dissolves and butter melts.
