I made this following as exact as possible ... It set up like a very thick pudding. Tried using a thermometer but don't think it could work right cause the fudge wasn't deep enough.
The recipe is from yrs ago so don't know what would have been used other than marshmallow cream.
Anyone have any ideas why I ended up with pudding?
Also hubby swears corn syrup was used in pudding to thicken it way back yrs ago...Is this true????
TIA

Fudge

2/3 cup cocoa
3 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups milk
4 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine cocoa, sugar, and sallt and add milk. Cook to soft ball. Add butter and let cool and add vanilla. Beat. Pour in a pan to harden. Cut in squares.

Take Care !
