Hi everybody, I have tried 2 of diana's cookies recipies and sadly to say, both failed. the cookie turns out to be smooth and has shiny surface instead of the cracked standard cookie surface that is on all of the cookies on sale. what is wrong? hope that you will lend me some tips. thanks. Greatly grateful, elmomoo

Hi elmomoo, This is Diana. I am so sorry your cookies didn't turn out the way you expected. Can you tell me what cookie recipes you made, what the name of the recipes are. When I hear back from you about which recipes you're talking about, I'll try and figure out what went wrong. Sincerely, Diana Diana's Desserts

Hi Elmomoo, I just can't understand why the cookies came out like " black charcoal with nuts poking out of it". You can interchange the rolled oats with instant oats in the recipe, that's fine. This would not cause your cookies to not have that "cracked" surface. It sounds to me that you may have over baked the cookies, otherwise why would they look like "black charcoal"? When I have made these cookies, they were delicious and looked like the photos of them on my website. Maybe someone else may be able to help. Elmomoo, in the future, would you email me directly about any complaints you have about the recipes on my website, or problems that you are having with my recipes. My email address is: diana@dianasdesserts.com. Sincerely, Diana

I've tried 2 of Diana's cookie recipes, and I've happily received rave reviews on both of them. They are Diana's Buttery Oatmeal Cookies and Ulta Mint Chocolate Chip cookies. Elmomoo, perhaps you allowed the butter to be too soft that it can't hold the batter well. Let the butter soften until pressing a finger on the wrapper will leave a slight indentation and the surface still feels slightly cold. All the Best! TP
warm regards,TeckPoh

Lol..I sure know that feeling!! Here's a link to some good cookie baking tips, if you think that would help! And good luck - I've done it all where cookies are concerned myself, so you have my empathy!! http://www.fitnessandfreebies.com/food/cookies.html
