Baklavas past is as diverse as the various ways it is made. There are different stories related with the derivation of this wonderful dessert but it is largely acknowledged that the Assyrians were the first to create the magical Baklava, around the 8th century B.C. The rich and tasty Baklava is made with Phyllo dough, which is filled with nuts and dripped with honey syrup making it a delight for all and one of the most popular sweet/snack at any time of a day.
