Just a hint really. If you find a recipe with sour cream in it, try it! It
produces a very moist rich chocolate cake. If I can find my recipe I will
post it later.

There's a really good one on the back of the hershey's cocoa box. Also there is a good devil's food cake recipe I printed out and use for my birthday cakes. I've had no problems with it being dry. I'm pretty sure I got it from here. If you would like me too, I'll type them in here.

Devils Food Cake
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 c. boiling water
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c.(1 stick) unsalted butter
1 1/2 c. paked light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk*

Instructions:
Grease and flour pan. In a small bowl, stir boiling water into cocoa powder. Set aside. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, beat brown sugar and butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition until smooth. Add vanilla; beat well. Combine the cocoa mixture and buttermilk. Add flour misture alternately with cocoa-buttermilk mixture, beating on low speed until just combined.
Transfer batter to prepared pans. Bake in a 350 degree F. oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inseted near the center comes out clean.(the sides should also start to pull away from the pan)
*NOTE*
To make Sour Milk:
Place 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice or vinegar in a glass measuring cup. Add enough milk to make 1/2 cup liquid; stir. Let the mixture stand for 5 minutes before using it in a recipe.

I use 3/4 c. of cocoa instead of the 1/2 cup the recipe calls for.

(color=Black)Hershey's "perfectly chocolate" chocolate cake
2 c. sugar
1 3/4c. flour
3/4 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. boiling water

Heat oven to 350 degrees f. Grease and flour pan. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water(batter will be thin). Pour into pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.(/color)

Have fun and enjoy!
