I was given a starter for Amish Frienship Bread, and I'm wondering about the ingredients my 'friends' used to make the starter. On day 6 you're supposed to add 1 Cup flour, 1 1/2 Cups of milk & 1 Cup sugar. Then on day 10 you're supposed to add 1 1/2 Cups flour, 1 1/2 Cups sugar, and 1 1/2 Cups milk. Then you're supposed to devide to devide it into 4 separate bags to give to 'friends'. I use raw sugar, for someone who has a problem with her body accepting 'white, refined sugar' & soy milk for their 'lactose intollerance'. So I'm wondering if the 'starter' I received if it has been 'polluted' enough with sugar & regular milk?
