  Hi Gingerbreadlady,

Where did you order your Easter Rabbit Cake Mold from? I am aware that there are many places on the internet that are selling Lamb Cake Molds. If you want to know where to purchase them, just email at diana@dianasdesserts.com.

Did you order a one or two piece Easter Rabbit Cake Pan, and also what flavor cake are you interested in making? Maybe then I can find a good recipe for you.

Take care and hope to hear back from you about the cake pan and if you're interested in getting an Easter Lamb Cake Pan.

Sincerely, Diana

  Hi again,

Here's a page from the Wilton company that makes different cake pans, including a bunny. Here's a bunny cake pan and cake recipe and deocrating page from Wilton written with Adobe Reader.

The page to click on is:

Thanks for your message.  Sorry I was not able to reply till now.  I ordered the Nordicware two-piece cake mold from Cooking.com.  Thier lamb molds were out of stock, but as it turns out, the rabbits were cuter anyway.  I did go to the Wilton site and found lots of suggestions for recipes and decorating.
I was looking for a yellow or white cake, something that was dense enough to support the upright shape of the cake, maybe like a poundcake.  The mold uses six cups of batter.
Thank you so much for wonderful website.  It's the best I've ever seen!  I can't wait to try out the delicious-sounding recipes.

May your cakes always rise,
         Shari

  Hi Gingerbreadlady,

I suggest using a recipe called Old Fashioned Pound Cake for your Easter Rabbit Cake. It's on my website under "My Recipe Book", under the Pound Cakes category.

A guest to my website used it for a similar kind of mold cake a few months back, and said it worked out very well, and tasted delicious.

Good Luck.
