When I want to add chopped nuts to my cookies, do I have to toast it before add to butter/flour or just add raw nuts?

  Hi Julia,

When you are making cookies that you want to add nuts to, no you don't have to toast the nuts. Just stir in the chopped nuts into the cookie dough that you have made. Then bake the cookies as instructed in the recipe.

Good Luck and Happy Baking.
By the way, what kind of cookies are you making?

Sincerely, Diana

Diana, thank you for your very quick response.  I am baking Pistachio nut cookies for the Chinese New Year.

I found your web just 3 days ago because I was looking for a Pandan Chiffon Cake recipe. I make one on last Sunday and found not so delicious as what I have tasted (bake) by Peranakan. Your great recipe helps.  It's the COCONUT MILK! Never thought of coconut milk can bake. I grow my own pandan leave in a pot, and pluck it when I need it for any cooking. Fresh leaves are great.
Diana, THANK YOU very very much. I am a novice baker, and love to try out great recipe. I will try my Pandan Chiffon Cake again.

  Hi Julia,

I am so glad you found my website and that you will try the recipe for Pandan Chiffon cake. I hope it turns out well. Please let me know as I haven't made it myself yet.

I was wondering if you might consider Submitting your recipe for Pistachio Nut Cookies to my website as I would love to have it on my site under the Guest Recipe Book for a Chinese New Year dessert.

Submitting a recipe is easy, just click on the Submit a Recipe link on the left hand side navigation bar on my homepage, and all you have to do is type in the ingredients and instructions and how many servings the recipe makes, and your name and email address. I'd really appreciate it. Do you have a photo of the Pistachio Nut Cookies?, or maybe you can tell me what they look like.

Well, hope to hear from you.

Sincerely, Diana
