  Hi,

Welcomes to Diana's Desserts Website for Home Bakers and to the Discussion Forum.

To a New Guest to Diana's Desserts Website and to the Discussion Forum, I am posting this note to someone who contacted me by way of my website today about the Homemade Marshmallow recipe. Your email address was incorrect and so I couldn't respond to it, so here is the information you requested.

Gelatine Envelopes-Etc.
When it states in the recipe for Homemade Marshmallows, that the ingredients require 3 envelopes of unflavored gelatine, this means in the USA, our gelatin comes in packages containing 4 small envelopes, and each envelope contains .25 ounce (1 tablespoon) of powdered gelatin. In Europe and other countries, gelatin sometimes comes in the form of sheets or leaves. In this case, you would need 12 sheets or leaves of unflavored gelatine for this recipe.

I hope I've explained this clearly, and that you understand what envelopes mean now as far as gelatine is concerned.

If you read this, can you please correct your email address on this discussion forum under your Member Information. Thank You.

Sincerely, Diana
