Bring sugar and milk to a soft boil on medium high heat. Boil about 13-15 minutes. Check your sauce with ice water. Drip a small amount into a clear glass of ice water. If it forms a soft ball, then it’s ready. If it breaks into pieces, it is not done. Check every minute. Remove sauce from heat and add the remainder of the ingredients. Smooth onto dish. Wait 30 minutes at room temperature. Cut and serve.
Makes 10-15 servings.
