24 oatmeal cookies (no raisins)
2 pints vanilla ice cream (can use any flavor)
Whipped cream (optional)
Maraschino cherries (with or without stems) optional
Crush cookies by hand or in plastic bag. Place onto a sheet pan, and spread all over pan. Scoop ice cream balls with ice cream scoop onto the sheet pan on top of crushed cookies and roll around until they are completely covered. Place the balls into a serving dish and top with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and maraschino cherries. Serve immediately.
Makes approximately 8 ice cream balls.
