Pie Crust

Servings: Yield: 1 double crust
Comments:
Canola oil can be substituted for the Crisco® shortening to make a low-fat crust.

Ingredients:
3/4 cup Crisco®* shortening *(you may use any brand of solid shortening of your choice or Canola oil may be substituted for a low-fat crust)
1/3 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons milk
2 cups all-purpose flour, approximately (a little extra flour may be needed)

Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, mix together the shortening and boiling water, stir, then add salt and milk. Add flour to make a soft dough. Divide dough in half and roll out each half to fit pan. Bake according to directions for the recipe you are using.

Yield: 1 double crust.

Note: If using canola oil, roll dough between 2 sheets of wax paper. Dough will seem greasy but that is the way it is supposed to be.
