Angel Loaf Cake

This is a really good and rich cake. It's
easy to make and is a great dessert for
any occasion.

3 sticks (1 1/2 cups) butter
1 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 pound powdered sugar
5 whole eggs
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour

Cream butter, spice and vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in powdered sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat until light. Fold in flour. Pour into 9x5 inch loaf pan with only the bottom greased and floured. Bake at 325 degrees F (160 degrees C) for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Makes 15 servings.
