Servings: Makes a 9x13 inch pan of fudge |
Comments: To be honest, I was curious, I wondered how good orange fudge could possibly be, but it is delicious..................Lynne |
Ingredients: ![]() 3/4 cup butter (no substitutes) plus a tablespoon for the pan 3 cups granulated sugar 3/4 cup heavy cream 10 to 12 ounces of vanilla or white baking chips 1 jar (7oz.) marshmallow cream 3 teaspoons orange extract 12 drops yellow food coloring 5 drops of red food coloring |
Instructions: TIP: Before you start: You need a 9 x 13 pan. I used the next smaller size pyrex baking pan for a little bit larger pieces of candy. Grease pan with a tablespoon of butter. In heavy saucepan combine the first thee ingredients. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 4 minutes (medium heat to keep to a rolling boil). Remove from heat, stir in chips and marshmallow cream until smooth. Remove one cup of fudge and set aside. Add the extract and food coloring to the mixture remaining in the pan and stir until blended. Pour into greased pan. Drop the reserved cup of mixture over top and cut with a knife to swirl. Cover and refrigerate until set. Makes a 9x13 inch pan of fudge. |
