Servings: 12-16

Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick/4 oz./113g) butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 squares (2 ounces) unsweetened chocolate
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
2 (5 ounces each) Hershey Bars With Almonds

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F/180 degrees C. Spray an 8 x 8-inch square cake pan (brownie pan) with non-stick cooking spray.

Melt the butter with the chocolate. Let chocolate and butter mixture cool.

Place both sugars, the flour, the baking powder and salt in a food processor and let it spin a few times. Add the two eggs and the vanilla, mix well. Add the cooled butter and chocolate mixture and mix until well blended.

Pour half of the batter into prepared brownie pan. Layer with the chocolate bars (which I broke in half, so I could layer evenly.) Pour the remainder of the batter over brownie. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes (you can't really test for doneness because you will be sticking your tester into the melted chocolate.)

Cool at room temperature before cutting, or you can cool and then refrigerate before cutting also. If desired, you can sprinkle brownies with powdered sugar to make them look pretty.

Makes 12-16 brownies.
