Comments: A lighter version of the traditional pecan pie. Delicious, and not quite as heavy and filling. |
Ingredients: 1 9-inch pre-made unbaked pie crust 1 cup dark brown sugar 1 cup karo syrup (dark or light) 3 large eggs, beaten 1/3 cup unsalted butter or margarine, melted 1 cup pecan halves |
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 C). Mix all ingredients together and pour into a 9-inch unbaked pie crust. Bake in pre-heated 350 degree F (180 C) oven for about 50 minutes, or until set. Serve at room temperature with a dollap of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Makes 8 servings. |
