Famous No-Bake Cookies

This recipe has been passed down through my family for years, so now I want to share it with you. ENJOY!

Ingredients:
2 cups granulated sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 stick (1/2 cup/4 oz/113g) butter
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups oats

Instructions:
In a pot, bring sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk to a rapid boil, boil for 3 minutes, remove from heat, add peanut butter, and oats. Stir together, drop by spoonfuls on to wax paper.

These are one of our favorite cookies to make. And Kyle is right about the humidity. You will have to eat them with a spoon if it's humid out. (They are good that way, too.)

I have used this recipe for the past 32 years. My trick is to use real unsalted butter, canned milk, and Dutch process cocoa. They are unbelievably GOOD!!!!!

These are the absolute best! But you need to make sure the humidity outside isn't too high or else they may not set up. Sounds strange, but it's true.

I wish I knew who posted this recipe. A Marie G. shared this recipe with me 35 years ago in Auburn High School. It has been a favorite of mine all these years. I still have the original recipe card she wrote it on. It's a great cookie!

No-Bake cookies are my very favorites! You might want to add that you should refrigerate them after putting them on the wax paper though. =D

my husband decided to make these with the with the kids while i was out. we didn't have regular oats so he used maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal and cut the sugar in half. they were fantastic!

Wow, I think I will make these cookies for my husband's company Christmas party. They sound super easy, budget friendly and quick. Exactly my kind of dessert. I've been making these for years, my favorite no bake cookie! I eat half of them, then share the other half with the grand kids,sometime I make them without the peanut butter...and I always drink a lot of milk with them...OMG...sooooooo good!
