Famous No-Bake Cookies

Ingredients:  2 cups granulated sugar 4 tablespoons cocoa 1 stick (1/2 cup/4 oz/113g) butter 1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup peanut butter 3 cups oats |
| Instructions: In a pot, bring sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk to a rapid boil, boil for 3 minutes, remove from heat, add peanut butter, and oats. Stir together, drop by spoonfuls on to wax paper. |

These are one of our favorite cookies to make. And Kyle is right about the humidity. You will have to eat them with a spoon if it's humid out. (They are good that way, too.)

I have used this recipe for the past 32 years. My trick is to use real unsalted butter, canned milk, and Dutch process cocoa. They are unbelievably GOOD!!!!!

I wish I knew who posted this recipe. A Marie G. shared this recipe with me 35 years ago in Auburn High School. It has been a favorite of mine all these years. I still have the original recipe card she wrote it on. It's a great cookie!

my husband decided to make these with the with the kids while i was out. we didn't have regular oats so he used maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal and cut the sugar in half. they were fantastic!
