Comments: While vacationing in Ireland we stayed at a bed & breakfast. We were served this bread for breakfast. I asked for the recipe and our hostess gladly shared it with me. |
Ingredients:  1 cup + 3 tbsp. whole wheat flour ½ cup wheat germ ½ cup + 2 tbsp. wheat bran ¼ cup brown sugar 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda pinch of salt 1 ½ - 1 ¾ cups buttermilk |
Instructions: Stir all ingredients until it is a soft dough. Place dough in a greased 9x5 inch (23x13cm) bread or loaf pan. Bake in a preheated 375ºF (190ºC) oven for 50-60 minutes. Makes 16 servings. |
