Diet Apple Pie

3 tablespoons cornstarch
7 1/4 teaspoon of Equal Brand Sweetener for Recipes, or 24 packets Equal Brand Sweetener
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 cups of canned apples or cooked apples (save 1/4 cup of juice to use in pie filling)
1 box refrigerated Pillsbury Pie Crust (contains two crusts)
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Place 1 pie crust, as directed on box, in pie pan.
In a bowl, combine starch, equal, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Add apples and mix. Pour into pie crust. Place top crust over top of pie, trim and seal. Cut slits in top of pie and bake at 425 degrees F for 35 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 8 servings.
