Servings: 5-6 cups

Comments:
This applesauce is so good and delicious on a chilly fall day! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!

Ingredients:
8 large McIntosh apples, peeled and cored, cut into thick slices
1/2 cup water
2 slices of lemon, cut thin
1/2 cup granulated sugar
Nutmeg and/or ground cinnamon, to taste

Instructions:
Combine apples, water and lemon slices in a large saucepan. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Watch closely and stir to prevent burning. Applesauce should be thick (add more water if neccesary). Stir in sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon. Remove lemon slices before serving.

Makes 5-6 cups.
