Comments:
You'll love the fresh taste of homemade peanut butter. Whether you make the creamy style or the crunchy, you will really taste the delicious difference between your homemade version and the store-bought one................Diana

Ingredients:
2 cups roasted shelled unsalted peanuts
1 tablespoon peanut oil
1/2 teaspoon salt, (optional; omit if using salted peanuts)

Instructions:
Place ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend continuously for 2 or 3 minutes. The ground peanuts will form a ball which will slowly disappear. If necessary, stop machine and scrape sides of container with a rubber spatula. Continue to process until mixture becomes spreadable.

When desired consistency has been reached, stir in 1/2 cup chopped roasted peanuts for crunchy style peanut butter. Then place mixture in a tightly closed container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. During storage, oil may rise to the top; if this occurs, stir before using.

Makes 1 cup smooth or 1 1/2 cups crunchy style peanut butter.

Note:
For other variations, you may add honey, cinnamon or any other flavoring.

Thank you Diana! This is great and I love to make it, now that i am going to gain weight, lots of calories it has! my question is, should I buy raw peanuts or usual peanuts which are available in every shop? Thanks!

Note from Diana, Diana's Desserts:

You can purchase peanuts from your supermarket or anywhere they sell fresh "roasted" peanuts. They can be in their shells (then you must shell them) or they can be shelled (which makes the process a bit easier), but make sure you purchase "unsalted" roasted peanuts wherever you buy them......Diana

This, like a few other recipes, was another outstanding one. My boys loved the homemade peanut butter.
