Ingredients: ![]() Simple Syrup I Ingredients: 1/4 cup boiling water 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup cold water 1 tsp. lemon juice 1/8 tsp. vanilla extract* Simple Syrup II Ingredients: 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup water 3/4 cups cold water 1/2 tsp. lemon juice 1- 2 tsp. orange extract Simple Syrup III Ingredients: 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup water 1/2 cup cold water 3/4 tsp. lemon juice 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract |
Instructions: Simple Syrup I Makes about 1 1/4 cups Instructions: In a small pot, bring to a boil 1/4 cup water, set over high heat. Add in the sugar and boil until the sugar has dissolved, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and add in 1/2 cup cold water; stir to combine. Add in the lemon juice and vanilla. Let cool. *Note: If desired, instead of the vanilla extract, you may substitute Kirsch, orange liqueur, brandy, strong brewed coffee, rum or rum extract, almond or almond extract, or any favorite extract, to flavor the syrup. Simple Syrup II Makes about 1 1/3 cups Instructions: In a small pot, combine: sugar and 1/2 cup water; bring to a boil, set over high heat. Let mixture boil for 30 seconds and then transfer to a 2 cup measuring cup. Add in the 3/4 cups cold water, lemon juice and orange extract: stir. Cool before using. Syrup can be refrigerated. Simple Syrup III Makes about 1 1/2 cups Instructions: In a small pot, combine: sugar and 1/4 cup water; bring to a boil, set over high heat. Let mixture boil for 30 seconds and then transfer to a 2 cup measuring cup. Add in the 1/2 cup cold water, lemon juice and vanilla extract: stir. Cool before using. Can be refrigerated. |
