This is a very warm and comforting treat on a chilly autumn or winter's day. For a nice variation on this recipe, substitute apples for the pears.

Ingredients:
4 large ripe pears
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon, divided
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
3 tbsp. margarine
1 cup Post Selects Cranberry Almond Crunch Cereal, lightly crushed

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190 C).
2. Peel, core and slice pears. Toss with 2 Tbsp. brown sugar and 1/2 tsp. of the cinnamon in 8-inch square baking dish.
3. Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar, flour and remaining 1/2 tsp. cinnamon in large bowl. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cereal. Sprinkle over pear mixture.
4. Bake 30 min. or until pears are tender. Serve warm.

Makes 9 servings.

You can also substitute peaches if inclined. An excellent dessert with a cup of steaming coffee, any time of day!
