Maple Cream Cheese Frosting

Servings: Enough to frost a 9-inch layer cake |
Ingredients: ![]() 8 oz. (2 sticks/226g) unsalted butter, room temperature 1 cup (packed) dark brown sugar 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, room temperature 1/2 cup real maple syrup 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring |
Instructions: Using electric mixer, beat butter and sugar in large bowl until blended. Beat in cream cheese, then maple syrup and flavoring. Chill until beginning to firm, about 20 minutes. Makes enough to frost and fill a 9-inch (3-layer) cake, or 2 1/2 to 3 dozen cupcakes. |
