This is a very versatile glaze. It can be used to frost a chiffon or angel food cake, or how about using it for topping chocolate cupcakes. This classic glaze has many uses.

Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter or margarine
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 to 4 tablespoons hot water

Instructions:
Melt butter in medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir in water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until smooth and of desired consistency.

Makes about 1-1/4 cups glaze.
