Keep It Simple Sugar Cookies

These cookies can be whipped up in 15 minutes, and they have less than 50 calories per cookie!

Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup (2 sticks/8 oz./226g) butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F/190 degrees C.

In small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

In large bowl, Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet for two minutes before transfering to wire rack. Let cool completly.

Makes 4 dozen cookies.

I don't know if I did something wrong, but they didn't turn out quite right. the taste was off, and they were a little too soft. In the end, the cookies were alright, but definately not the best batch I've made.
