Ingredients: 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup (2 sticks/8 oz./226g) margarine 2 eggs 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon cream of tartar |
Instructions: Mix together both sugars, margarine, and eggs until well blended. Stir in flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Shape into roll or pack into a square freezer container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F/190 degrees C. Slice cookies into 1/4 thick slices. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Makes approximately 36 cookies. |

What is cream of tartar and what is margarine? They don't sell those in Thailand. What can we use instead of margarine and cream of tartar?
