Comments: My best friend Stella who submitted this little "Gooseberry Crumble" recipe is from Ireland, but lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. Thank you Stella for this great fruit dessert. I know it will be a lovely summer treat, or for that matter very tasty anytime of the year......Diana |
Ingredients: 250 grams (2 cups) self-raising flour 125 grams (1/2 cup) soft light brown sugar 125 grams (1/2 cup) butter, cut into small pieces 1 kilo (2.2 pounds) fresh gooseberries 200 grams (1 cup) caster sugar or granulated sugar |
Instructions: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F (180 C). Mix flour with butter in a large bowl. When it feels like breadcrumbs, add brown sugar and mix well.
