Servings: 1 jar

Ingredients:
200g (about 1/2 pound/8oz.) frozen blueberries
120g (1/2 cup/4oz.) sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 - 2 drops vegetable oil

You will need:
A microwavable bowl
A canning jar with lid, (no more than a 1 pint size jar/16 oz.)*see note below

Instructions:
1). Defrost the bluelerries and place them into a microwavable bowl. Stir in sugar and lemon juice and wait for 15 minutes.

2). Wash the jar with hot water, then let it dry completely.

3). Drip the oil into blueberries and place the bowl in a microwave oven and heat on high power for 5 minutes (don't cover the bowl) Remove the bubbles on surface and stir the mixture thoroughly. Then, heat it with high power again for 6 minutes. After the mixture is cool, place it into the jar and keep in the fridge.

Tips:
1). You don't need to blend blueberries. They will be broken after cooking.

2). The jam will become thicker when it's getting cooler.

3). You can also use fresh blueberries. If you want to freeze blueberries, remember not to rinse them before putting them into freezer. Wash them just before you cook them, if necessary.

4). 1 Tablespoon=15cc
1 Teaspoon=5cc

*Note: If desired, use 2 (1/2 pint) jars for canning jam instead of a 1 pint jar.

Makes approximately 1 (pint size jar) or 2 (1/2 pint size jars) of blueberry jam.
