Comments: This is an easy cake to make. It uses cake mix. So give it a try. It's good!! Other fruit fillings can be used as well. Photo above is of apple-raisin cobbler cake. |
Ingredients: 2 cans peach pie filling (or any pie filling of your choice) 1 box yellow or white cake mix 1 1/4 sticks (5 oz. or 10 tbsp.) butter or margarine, melted |
Instructions: Spread pie filling into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle cake mix over fruit. Spread melted butter evenly over top. Bake at 350 degrees F (180 C) for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Also good plain. Makes 12 servings. Thank you for this great recipe! In the 1970's my mother-in-law made a cake almost identical to this and called it "DUMP CAKE" which was her staple for a last minute or emergency cake.
