Comments:
A favorite Canadian recipe, especially popular in the province of Quebec. This sweet pie is best served warm and is traditionally made for Canada day.

Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp. cream
2 1/2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. butter, melted
2 1/4 tbsp. real maple syrup
1 (9-inch) pie crust, unbaked

Instructions:
Mix together brown sugar, cream, flour, melted butter and maple syrup. Pour mixture into unbaked pie crust, covering the top with woven strips of pastry dough, or use any extra dough for making maple leaves and placing them on unbaked pie for decoration, if desired.

Bake at 400 degrees F/200 degrees C for about 30 minutes. Take out and let cool on wire rack. If filling is a bit runny, place pie in refrigerator.

Makes 8 servings.
