This is a really good upside-down cake. It's a favorite of this "Georgia" family. You can also use other fruits besides peaches.

Ingredients:
Batter:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tap. baking powder
1/4 stick (1 ounce) butter
1/2 cup milk

Fruit Mixture:
2 cups fresh or canned peaches
1 cup sugar
Nutmeg, to taste
1 cup water or use 1/2 cup water and 1/2
cup peach liquid.

Instructions:
Batter:
Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Put into baking dish. I use an 8x8 casserole dish. I also spray it with a little Pam Cooking Spray.

Fruit Mixture:
Combine all ingredients. Pour over the batter. Bake about 50 minutes at 375 degrees F. Cake will rise to top and fruit will be on the bottom.

Makes 6 servings.
