Comments:
Here's a quick and easy way of making your favorite Mexican flour tortilla's. Enjoy them with salsa, filled with meat or fresh vegetables such as lettuce, tomato and avacado and top with a dollop of sour cream for a tasty Mexican style treat.

Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Pinch of sugar (optional)
3 tablespoons vegetable oil (more for softer tortillas)
1 cup water

Instructions:
Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and oil. Add water and mix with hands. Divide into 10 small balls. Roll each flat with rolling pin and cook on very hot ungreased griddle until lightly brown on each side.

Makes 10 tortillas.

This is an easy recipe to make and they taste great. I made them into the balls and put half in a zip lock for the next day. They are even easier to roll out and came out even better if that is possible.

These are really easy to make and they taste great. The only thing I have to do differently next time I make them is use a little more than the 3 tbsp. of oil, and roll them thinner.

These were delicious and sooo easy!! I did add 1 1/2 Tbsp. extra oil and I rolled them out very thin because the first few came out kind of thick. My family loved them too!

Pretty good recipe -- but no matter how thin I rolled them they still turned into tortilla flat-bread...not pliable like store bought tortillas, or even the corn tortillas I make with the tortilla press.

I did everything I was supposed to but no matter how thin I made them, the were like flat bread. I'm not sure where I went wrong, but this was a bomb. I was hoping they'd come out soft but that was not the case.

Super easy and came out great. They lacked a little flavor but that's because we're using oil instead of lard. I used 4.5 tsp of oil but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. I cooked them in a cast iron pan. I divided the dough into 8 pieces and made large burrito sized tortillas. Made excellent breakfast tacos! One and you're stuffed!

BRILLIANT...If you roll them out a little thicker they make fantastic naan bread, brilliant all purpose flat bread, thank you Diana

This was my first time making tortillas, I don't know why I waited so long! This is a great, EASY recipe. I substituted coconut oil for the vegetable oil which made them extra tasty!
